To the men of Mountain, or I could say, our Mountain Men! A tribute to each of you who have stood on the word of God and lived and loved in the foot steps of Jesus. Mountain men are often perceived as big and burly and could chop down a tree in one swing and then carry it to its location in one piece! And although I'm sure each of you, at least in one point in your life, could do just that; it is not these feats that make each of you a true Mountain Man.
A true Mountain Man is one who brings the good news of the gospel to those in need of Jesus.
Isaiah 52:7 states "How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”'
I'm certain within each of you Mountain Men there are thoughts of doubt and uncertainties about your achievements in this life; as a man, husband, father or friend just as each person in the human race struggles with fears and failures. Yet in the midst of your struggles, God is proclaiming that You, men of Mountain Bible Church, are beautiful, you proclaim peace and good tidings of kindness and love to each person who enters these doors, you preach and teach of Jesus and His salvation and you shout with exemplary measure from this Mountain that Your God Reigns! Men of Mountain, thank you for being Mountain Men, for being obedient to God and proclaiming His good news about Jesus and loving each of us that walk through the doors of Mountain Bible Church. Happy Father's Day, may you be blessed today and always!
