I've always loved the hymn "He Lives"; the melody of the notes, the cadence of the chorus and the relevance of the lyrics!
Sing it with me...
"He lives, he lives, Christ Jesus Lives today. He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way. He lives, he lives, salvation to impart. You ask me how I know he lives, he lives within my heart!"
Wow, to know that we serve a living Savior, a God who conquered death, not one who stayed in the grave! The resurrection of Christ is a joyous occasion, one to be celebrated! This day of remembrance of what Christ did for us should be filled with singing and thanks, discussing how Christ saved us and lives in our hearts as a gift to us.
John 11:25-26: "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?'"
Just as Jesus asked the woman, we can tell others about Jesus and ask if they believe. Sharing Jesus with others is the best gift you can give, so just as He lives, so can we, with Him for eternity.
