As we prepare to take Youth 4 Truth to Silver Dollar City, Young Christian’s Weekend, we covet your prayers throughout this coming week for those putting on the event, the speakers bringing God’s word, and the musicians coming to perform and lead us in worship as well as the staff of SDC. We’ve heard in the past that YCW is often referred to as “Young Heathen’s Weekend” instead by the staff; as the teenager to adult ratio is quite skewed some tend to run amuck. How sad that a weekend intended to teach and edify young Christian’s causes such grief on the staff at which the event is held, what kind of example for Christ does that display; a terrible one to say the least. In light of this, please pray that all those who attend this event behave in a manner representative of Christ, the one in whom we are gathered to worship! Pray that these young people tune in to the messages being presented and that their hearts be opened to Christ’s leading this weekend. We have been blessed in all the years we have been attending to have very well behaved students, I pray this continues and that Y4T students are an example of Christ to all they encounter! 1 Timothy 4:12, ESV: "Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity."
