Time, ugh! Time never seems to be on my side. There is never
enough time in the day, the week, the month; to do all the things I want to get
done. I don’t seem to have the time to cook, or clean, or care for all my
responsibilities let alone time to craft or relax or any of the things I want
to do. I have even found myself forcing myself to make time to read my bible. I
hate that I must force myself to do that, it should be easy, it should be
natural, it should be my number one priority. But sadly, in this season of my
life, it is not. I spend so much time in the car lately running here and there
that that has become my sanctuary many times. I pray out loud and long. I sing,
I sign, I worship. I can’t read my bible while I drive but I can listen to
sermons. Nothing can replace the physical act of reading God’s word so I know
even though I get that time with God, I must continue to open his word and read
it, no matter how pressed I am for time, no matter if I must force myself, I
know that after I take that time, I can rest more peacefully, have a more sound
mind and am always refreshed from spending any amount of time in God’s word! Psalm 119:149 “Hear my voice according to Your loving kindness; Revive me, O LORD,
according to Your ordinances.”
