The last couple of weeks have been so strange and I'm sure it's only going to get stranger before a sense of normalcy starts to return. I honestly don't have time nor space to get into all the things God has been doing in my heart but I will say he has brought so much peace about certain things that I had recently been so unsure about. He has revealed so much and softened my heart in places I didn't even realize had hardened. He has heightened my compassion for others and shown me a purpose I longed to see. I know I use this verse a lot but I memorized it during a difficult time in my past and it has helped me get through many difficult times since then.

Romans 8:28 "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

Please don't take this wrong as I know there is also much tragedy during this time, but due to the shift it's causing everyone to make, I am excited to see what God continues to work together for His good, as this season continues to unfold. I encourage you to seek God now more than ever and watch for the things He is doing here and now within your own lives.

Strange times we are living in here in 2020. With the out break of Covid-19, the quarantines and social distancing, I can't help but wonder what this would have looked like a mere 20 years ago. Less media, no social media, no device in every hand. No matter the what ifs from 20 years ago the fact of this matter is, it's happening and its causing alot of different emotions in the people of the world. One tremendous benefit of this happening in this day and age is with a device in every hand, we can still "meet together" even when we can't. I was able to live stream a service Wednesday night for the youth group and will be able to continue to do so as long as we are asked to stay home. This coming week the lesson will be "Peace in the Pandemic" if you aren't on our youth page and would like to be, shoot me a message and I'll add you. God can work all things for good, even those satan intends for destruction or to stir up fear, God will prevail! "You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!"
Isaiah 26:3 NLT

As I'm on a brief getaway with my best friend for the weekend it has been so fun and refreshing. We have had time to catch up on each others lives and laugh and even cry together. We experience each others joys and pains. This time is precious as we both live such busy lives. Friendships are a gift from God but he gave us a friend better than any other when He gave us Jesus. "I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command." John 15:11-14

Why do we doubt God? I’m not talking about his existence or his saving power, I’m talking about our daily lives, following his daily plan? Why do we worry and panic when things are not going as “planned”? It never, never ceases to amazing me how no matter how bad I worry about a situation it does not change it, and then beyond that, I am always in complete awe when God shows up and shows me his true intention and plan. Why can I not just trust him during these times instead of worrying? Wouldn’t you think I would learn by now? I know I am not alone in this, we as humans tend to worry first. As Christians, who should know better. I think back on all the times I have made myself sick with worry and it has done nothing for me but just that, made me sick. And in those same situations how God showed up and made beauty from ashes! He is so good and so faithful even when I am not. He is God and I am not and instead of just knowing He exists, I must start living like He does, trusting and believing that He will lead and guide all avenues of my life.
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Matthew 6:34
